About Vampiric Feast
Vampiric Feast, Sorcery, designed by D. Alexander Gregory first released in May, 1997 in the set Portal and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
A deck that focuses on controlling the board and gaining life would benefit from including Vampiric Feast, especially in a black-based control or midrange deck. However, there are better options available such as Vraska's Contempt which not only deals with a threat but also exiles it, providing more value. Whether Vampiric Feast should see play would depend on the specific strategy of the deck and the current metagame, as it offers a good balance of damage and life gain but may be outclassed by more versatile options in certain situations.
