About Tandem Tactics
Tandem Tactics, Instant, designed by David Gaillet first released in May, 2020 in the set Battle for Zendikar and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.
Tandem Tactics would be beneficial in a white aggro or midrange deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing a temporary boost to two creatures while also gaining life. However, there are arguably better options like Brave the Elements or Gods Willing, which offer protection in addition to a combat trick. Tandem Tactics could still see play as a budget-friendly option or as a situational card in certain matchups.

You can cast Tandem Tactics with no targets. When it resolves, you’ll gain 2 life. However, if you cast Tandem Tactics with any targets and all of those targets are illegal as it tries to resolve, it won’t resolve and none of its effects will happen. You won’t gain 2 life in that case.
