While it may not be the most powerful option available, it can be useful in weakening or eliminating small creatures or disrupting an opponent's strategy. However, there are better cards like Hapatra's Mark or Splendid Agony's upgrade, Splendid Reclamation, that offer more value for the mana cost and should be considered first before including Splendid Agony in a deck.
