Spitemare, Creature — elemental, designed by Matt Cavotta first released in Jul, 2008 in the set Eventide and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's a key card in 2 combos.
A deck that focuses on dealing damage to its own creatures or wants to redirect damage to opponents would benefit from using Spitemare. While Spitemare can be a fun and versatile card, some may argue that Boros Reckoner is a better option due to its lower mana cost and additional abilities. However, Spitemare can still be a strong inclusion in decks looking for a unique way to deal damage and control the board.

Even if the amount of damage dealt to Spitemare is enough to destroy it, Spitemare’s ability will trigger and it will deal the full amount of damage to the target.
