About Shinka Gatekeeper
Shinka Gatekeeper, Creature — ogre warrior, designed by Pete Venters first released in May, 2020 in the set Betrayers of Kamigawa.
This card could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on dealing damage quickly and aggressively, such as a red aggro deck. However, the downside of dealing damage to yourself might not be worth it in many situations. There are likely better cards that offer similar effects without the drawback, such as Goblin Guide or Monastery Swiftspear, which are more efficient and widely played in aggressive red decks. Overall, Shinka Gatekeeper may not see much play due to its self-damage drawback and the availability of better alternatives in the same mana cost range.
