About Forked Lightning

Forked Lightning, Sorcery, designed by Ted Naifeh first released in May, 1997 in the set Portal and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

This card, Forked Lightning, would benefit a red aggressive deck looking to efficiently remove multiple threats on the board. While it offers flexibility in distributing damage, there are more efficient options like Lightning Bolt or Flame Slash that provide similar or better removal at a lower cost. Forked Lightning could see situational play in decks that need versatile removal options, but overall, there are more optimal choices available in most cases.

Rules

10/01/09

You divide the damage as you cast Forked Lightning, not as it resolves. Each target you choose must be assigned at least 1 damage.
