About Death Baron
Death Baron, Creature — zombie wizard, designed by Slawomir Maniak first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 10 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
Death Baron would be a valuable addition to a tribal Zombie deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing a significant boost to Skeletons and other Zombies with its +1/+1 and deathtouch abilities. However, other cards like Lord of the Accursed or Diregraf Captain may offer more versatile effects for Zombie tribal strategies, potentially making them better choices depending on the specific deck's needs. Death Baron should definitely see play in a Zombie-focused deck, but players should consider the overall synergy and strategy of their deck to determine if it's the best fit.
Rules
07/13/18
A creature that’s both a Skeleton and a Zombie will get the bonus only once.
07/13/18
Because damage remains marked on a creature until it’s removed as the turn ends, nonlethal damage dealt to a Skeleton or Zombie you control may become lethal if Death Baron leaves the battlefield during that turn.
