Breathstealer can be a useful addition to a black aggro or control deck looking to apply pressure early on or disrupt the opponent's board. However, there are better options available such as Vampire Nighthawk, which offers more versatility with flying, lifelink, and deathtouch for the same mana cost. While Breathstealer could see situational play in specific strategies, it may not be a top choice in most competitive decks.
