About Pennon Blade
Pennon Blade, Artifact — equipment, designed by Alex Horley-Orlandelli first released in Apr, 2010 in the set Rise of the Eldrazi and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
This card would benefit decks that focus on creating a wide board presence with multiple creatures, such as token decks or go-wide strategies. While Pennon Blade can potentially provide a significant power boost to a single creature, there are better options available like Sword of Fire and Ice or Sword of Feast and Famine that offer additional abilities along with a power boost. Whether Pennon Blade should see play would depend on the specific deck and strategy, but it may not be the most competitive choice compared to other equipment cards available.
Rules
06/15/10
As long as you control Pennon Blade, its ability constantly counts the number of creatures you control. It doesn’t matter who controls the creature it’s equipping (in case an opponent somehow manages to take control of that creature). If you control the creature it’s equipping, the bonus will include that creature too.
