Meteoric Impact fits best in a Wizard deck that naturally plays a high density of instants—most notably Oscilio, Constella Intelligence (Starfall-focused builds) or potentially Kano, Dracai of Aether in lists that regularly fire off instants during either turn—because turning it into 5 arcane damage for 1 resource is a strong rate if the Starfall condition is consistently active; however, in Kano specifically, non‑attack action spells are often less desirable than instants you can play off the top. Compared to other Wizard staples, it’s generally less efficient than Aether Flare (4 arcane for 2 with upside), can be less flexible than Forked Lightning (split damage with go again), and lacks the scaling threat of cards like Scalding Rain or Lesson in Lava, which often provide equal or better damage with additional synergy.
