About Memory Theft

Memory Theft, Sorcery, designed by Micah Epstein first released in Oct, 2019 in the set Throne of Eldraine.

A deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's hand and graveyard, such as a Dimir Control or Grixis Midrange deck, would benefit from using Memory Theft in Magic: the Gathering. While Memory Theft can be useful in certain situations, there are better cards like Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek that offer more consistent hand disruption. Memory Theft could see play in more casual or themed decks, but in competitive settings, there are stronger options available.

10/04/19

You choose which exiled adventurer card, if any, to put into that player’s graveyard after seeing their hand. You may do this even if that player has no nonland cards in hand, or even no cards at all.
