About Magma Spray
Magma Spray, Instant, designed by Mathias Kollros first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 10 different ways.
This card, Magma Spray, would be a great addition to a red aggressive deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides efficient removal for small creatures while also preventing graveyard recursion. However, for decks looking for more versatile removal options, cards like Lightning Bolt or Shock may be more effective due to their ability to target players as well. Overall, Magma Spray could see play in specific metagames where graveyard recursion is prevalent, but may not be a staple in every red deck.

Magma Spray’s replacement effect will exile the target creature if it would die this turn for any reason, not just due to lethal damage. It applies to the target creature even if Magma Spray deals no damage to it (due to a prevention effect) or Magma Spray deals damage to a different creature (due to a redirection effect).
