About Cockatrice
Cockatrice, Creature — cockatrice, designed by Dan Frazier first released in May, 2020 in the set Limited Edition Alpha and was printed exactly in 14 different ways.
A deck that focuses on controlling the board and disrupting your opponent's creatures would benefit from including Cockatrice, as it can effectively remove threats during combat. While Cockatrice has its strengths, there are potentially better options available in Magic: the Gathering, such as cards with more immediate impact or versatility. The ability destroys the creature at the end of the combat, which is after all first strike and normal damage dealing is done. This means that a creature may have to regenerate twice to survive the combat, once from damage and once again at end of combat.
