About Belligerent Whiptail
Belligerent Whiptail, Creature — wurm, designed by Jakub Kasper first released in May, 2020 in the set Battle for Zendikar.
This card would be beneficial in a red aggressive deck focused on quickly building up land presence to trigger its landfall ability and give it first strike. While Belligerent Whiptail can be a solid inclusion in such a deck, there are potentially better options like Akoum Warrior or Tunneling Geopede that offer more consistent value and impact on the board. Ultimately, the decision to include Belligerent Whiptail would depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck it's being considered for.

A landfall ability triggers whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control for any reason. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability puts a land onto the battlefield under your control.

If the ability has an additional or replacement effect that depends on the land having a certain basic land type, the ability will check that land’s type as the ability resolves. If, at that time, the land that entered the battlefield is no longer on the battlefield, use its types when it left the battlefield to determine what happens.
