Trap Runner, Creature — human soldier, designed by Ron Spencer first released in Oct, 1999 in the set Mercadian Masques and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A deck focusing on disruption, control, or protecting key creatures in combat would benefit from including Trap Runner in Magic: the Gathering. While its ability to force an unblocked attacker to become blocked can be situationally useful, there are generally better options available in these types of decks such as removal spells, counter spells, or protection spells that offer more versatile and impactful effects. Trap Runner may see play in more niche or casual decks where its ability synergizes well with other cards, but it may struggle to find a place in more competitive or optimized strategies.

If a turn has multiple combat phases, the ability can be activated during any of them as long as it’s after the beginning of that phase’s Declare Blockers Step.
