About Tatterkite

Tatterkite, Artifact creature — scarecrow, designed by Ron Brown first released in May, 2008 in the set Shadowmoor. It's a key card in 1 combos.

This card, Tatterkite, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on evasion and preventing opponent's strategies that involve putting counters on creatures. It could be particularly useful in a control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's plans. However, there may be better options available depending on the specific strategy of the deck, such as Steel Hellkite for a more versatile flying threat or Solemn Simulacrum for card advantage and ramp. Ultimately, the decision to include Tatterkite in a deck would depend on the overall game plan and synergy with other cards in the deck.

Rules

05/01/08

If Tatterkite is dealt damage by a creature with wither, that damage has no effect. It’s not prevented; it just doesn’t do anything. Abilities that trigger on damage being dealt will still trigger.

05/01/08

If Tatterkite would enter the battlefield with counters on it, it enters the battlefield but doesn’t have those counters. For example, if an effect grants it persist and then it’s destroyed, it returns to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it.

05/01/08

Tatterkite’s ability prevents any kind of counter from being placed on it, not just -1/-1 counters.
