However, there are better options available such as Rule of Law or Eidolon of Rhetoric which have a similar effect of limiting spellcasting. Monologue Tax could see play in specific metas where opponents rely heavily on casting multiple spells per turn, but overall, it may not be the most efficient choice compared to other options.
