About Malefic Scythe

A deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures or has a lot of creature recursion would benefit from using Malefic Scythe, as it can quickly grow in power with the soul counters. However, there are better cards for boosting creatures in black, such as Lashwrithe or Batterskull, which provide more consistent and impactful bonuses. Malefic Scythe could see play in more casual or themed decks, but may not be competitive in higher-level play due to its slower and more conditional nature.
