About Makeshift Mauler

Makeshift Mauler, Creature — zombie horror, designed by James Ryman first released in May, 2020 in the set Innistrad and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

A deck that focuses on graveyard recursion and has a good amount of creature cards to exile would benefit from using Makeshift Mauler in Magic: the Gathering. However, there are better options like Gurmag Angler or Hooting Mandrills that offer more power and toughness for a similar cost without the additional exile cost, making them more efficient choices for competitive play. Makeshift Mauler could see play in casual or thematic decks that specifically rely on zombie or horror creature types for synergy and flavor.

Rules

04/15/13

You must exile exactly one creature card from your graveyard to cast this spell; you cannot cast it without exiling a creature card, and you cannot exile additional creature cards.
