About Kytheon's Irregulars

Kytheon's Irregulars, Creature — human soldier, designed by Mark Winters first released in Jul, 2015 in the set Magic Origins Promos and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

This card would be beneficial in a white weenie or aggro deck that focuses on quick creature deployment and combat damage. While Kytheon's Irregulars can tap down opposing creatures, its high mana cost may make it less efficient compared to other cards like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben or Thalia, Heretic Cathar, which offer disruptive abilities at a lower cost. However, in a deck that can support its mana requirements, Kytheon's Irregulars could still see play as a versatile creature with combat utility.

Rules

06/22/15

If a renown ability triggers, but the creature leaves the battlefield before that ability resolves, the creature doesn’t become renowned. Any ability that triggers “whenever a creature becomes renowned” won’t trigger.

06/22/15

Renown won’t trigger when a creature deals combat damage to a planeswalker or another creature. It also won’t trigger when a creature deals noncombat damage to a player.
