This card would be beneficial in a red-based aggro deck that focuses on generating +1/+1 counters, as it provides ramp through Treasure tokens. While Axgard Artisan has its niche uses, a potentially better card for this strategy could be Stonecoil Serpent, which not only benefits from +1/+1 counters but also has additional versatility and evasion. However, Axgard Artisan could still see play in specific decks looking to capitalize on its unique ability to generate mana acceleration.
