This card would be beneficial in a green-based aggro or midrange deck that focuses on creature combat and board presence, as the regeneration ability can help keep it alive through combat or removal spells. However, there are better options available such as Troll Ascetic, which has a similar regeneration ability but also has hexproof, making it harder to deal with. Tel-Jilad Exile may not see as much play due to its higher mana cost and lack of additional abilities compared to other similar cards.
