Stomping Ground is a versatile dual land that benefits decks looking to cast both red and green spells efficiently, such as Gruul or Naya decks in Magic: the Gathering. While the 2 life payment may deter some players, the flexibility of having access to both colors without needing another land makes it a strong choice. However, in more competitive settings, cards like Shock Lands or Fetch Lands may be considered better options due to their ability to enter untapped more consistently, but Stomping Ground is still a solid choice for decks needing red and green mana.

Unlike most dual lands, this land has two basic land types. It’s not basic, so cards such as District Guide can’t find it, but it does have the appropriate land types for effects such as that of Drowned Catacomb (from the Ixalan set).
