Spider Climb, Enchantment — aura, designed by Ron Spencer first released in Feb, 1997 in the set Visions.
Spider Climb would be beneficial in a green deck focused on creature-based strategies, especially against flying creatures. However, there are better options like Rancor or Aspect of Hydra that provide more impactful buffs or additional abilities for the same cost, making Spider Climb less likely to see play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.

The sacrifice occurs only if you cast it using its own ability. If you cast it using some other effect (for instance, if it gained flash from Vedalken Orrery), then it won’t be sacrificed.
