About Narrow Escape
Narrow Escape, Action, designed by None first released in Jul, 2026 in the set Attack of the Vine!.
Narrow Escape is best in an Amethyst control or tempo deck that wants to disrupt cheap setup pieces, reuse its own low-cost characters/items/locations for value, or buy time against aggressive decks by bouncing two small threats at once; it can be especially nice in a deck that cares about “when played” effects or wants to reset damaged/exerted pieces. That said, it’s fairly niche and usually not a premium four-cost action because it only hits cost 2 or less, so it’s weaker than more flexible bounce/removal options like **Bounce** or stronger tempo cards that affect larger targets or generate card advantage more reliably; if your deck already has better interaction, Narrow Escape is often cut. I’d say it can see play as a meta/tech choice in slower Amethyst builds or a bounce-focused deck, but it is not an auto-include and generally should not be a staple unless your local environment is full of cheap, high-impact permanents.
