Mirror Image, Creature — shapeshifter, designed by Randy Vargas first released in Jul, 2018 in the set Core Set 2019 and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's a key card in 3 combos.
A deck that focuses on powerful creatures with useful abilities would benefit from including Mirror Image, as it provides flexibility and redundancy by allowing you to have additional copies of key creatures. While Mirror Image is a solid card for its cost, there are potentially better options like Clone or Phantasmal Image that offer similar effects with added benefits. Whether Mirror Image should see play depends on the specific strategy and synergies of the deck, but it can certainly be a valuable inclusion in the right context.

Any enters-the-battlefield abilities of the copied creature will trigger when Mirror Image enters the battlefield. Any “as [this creature] enters the battlefield” or “[this creature] enters the battlefield with” abilities of the chosen creature will also work.

If the chosen creature is copying something else (for example, if the chosen creature is another Mirror Image), then Mirror Image enters the battlefield as whatever the chosen creature copied.

Mirror Image copies exactly what was printed on the original creature (unless that creature is copying something else or is a token; see below). It doesn’t copy whether that creature is tapped or untapped, whether it has any counters on it or any Auras and Equipment attached to it, or any non-copy effects that have changed its power, toughness, types, color, or so on.
