About Lone Revenant

Lone Revenant, Creature — spirit, designed by Jaime Jones first released in May, 2012 in the set Avacyn Restored and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Lone Revenant would be a great addition to a control deck in Magic: the Gathering, especially one focused on card advantage and protecting key creatures. While it offers card advantage and protection with its Hexproof ability, there are potentially better options like Snapcaster Mage or Vendilion Clique that provide more immediate impact or utility. However, Lone Revenant could still see play in certain deck archetypes that can take advantage of its unique abilities and synergies.

Rules

05/01/12

Check whether Lone Revenant’s ability triggers after combat damage is dealt but before any creatures that are destroyed due to combat damage leave the battlefield. For example, if you control Lone Revenant and another creature, and that other creature takes lethal damage in the same combat damage step that Lone Revenant deals damage to a player, Lone Revenant’s ability won’t trigger.

05/01/12

You must put one of the cards into your hand, even if you’d rather put all four on the bottom of your library.
