A deck that focuses on filling the graveyard with creature cards would benefit greatly from including Liliana's Elite, such as a black-based graveyard recursion deck or a zombie tribal deck. However, there are potentially better cards like Tarmogoyf or Death's Shadow that provide more consistent power and toughness for their mana cost, making them stronger choices in competitive play. Liliana's Elite could still see play in more casual or themed decks for its flavor and synergy with graveyard mechanics.
