A deck focusing on sacrificing or manipulating creatures with high power, such as a sacrifice or reanimator deck, would benefit from using Kiku's Shadow in Magic: the Gathering. However, there are more efficient cards like Tragic Slip that offer a similar effect at a lower cost and with additional utility, making Kiku's Shadow less likely to see play in competitive decks.
