About Isperia's Skywatch

Isperia's Skywatch, Creature — vedalken knight, designed by Chris Rahn first released in Oct, 2012 in the set Return to Ravnica.

Isperia's Skywatch would be a great addition to a control deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing a solid flying blocker while also temporarily neutralizing an opponent's creature. While it is a decent card, there are stronger options available such as Lyev Skyknight, which offers a similar detain effect with a lower mana cost, making it a more efficient choice for competitive play. However, Isperia's Skywatch could still see play in casual or budget decks looking for a versatile control option.

Rules

04/15/13

Activated abilities include a colon and are written in the form “[cost]: [effect].” No one can activate any activated abilities, including mana abilities, of a detained permanent.

04/15/13

04/15/13

If a noncreature permanent is detained and later turns into a creature, it won’t be able to attack or block.
