This card would be beneficial in a control or tempo deck looking to disrupt the opponent's game plan by delaying their key spells. While Elite Spellbinder is a solid choice for its ability to exile a nonland card and increase its casting cost, other cards like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben or Meddling Mage offer similar disruptive effects that may be more impactful in certain situations. However, Elite Spellbinder could still see play in the right meta where slowing down the opponent's plays is crucial.
