About Wave-Wing Elemental
Wave-Wing Elemental, Creature — elemental, designed by John Severin Brassell first released in Oct, 2015 in the set Battle for Zendikar and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A deck focused on landfall triggers and flying creatures would benefit from including Wave-Wing Elemental, as it can quickly grow in power with each land drop. While it is a solid card for such a deck, there are potentially better options available, such as Roil Elemental or Emeria Angel, which offer more impactful abilities. Wave-Wing Elemental could see play in a casual or budget deck, but may not be a top choice for competitive play due to its relatively high mana cost and limited impact compared to other options.
Rules
08/25/15
A landfall ability triggers whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control for any reason. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability puts a land onto the battlefield under your control.
08/25/15
If the ability has an additional or replacement effect that depends on the land having a certain basic land type, the ability will check that land’s type as the ability resolves. If, at that time, the land that entered the battlefield is no longer on the battlefield, use its types when it left the battlefield to determine what happens.
