Gran-Gran is a perfect fit for a control deck focused on drawing cards and utilizing Lesson cards in Magic: the Gathering. The card advantage gained from Gran-Gran's ability to draw and discard when tapped, combined with the cost reduction for noncreature spells, can be incredibly powerful in the late game. However, there may be better cards that offer similar benefits with less setup, such as [[Teferi, Time Raveler]] or [[Urza's Blueprints]], which may be more versatile options for competitive play, but Gran-Gran could still see play in a dedicated Lesson-based deck for casual or thematic purposes.
