Dismember is a versatile removal spell that can be used effectively in aggressive black-based decks looking to efficiently deal with threats on the board. While the cost of 4 life might be steep in some matchups, the ability to target any creature and the instant speed of the spell make it a valuable tool in the right situations. However, there are other removal spells like Fatal Push or Murderous Rider that might be more efficient in certain scenarios, so the decision to include Dismember in a deck would depend on the specific metagame and strategy of the deck.
