Crackling Perimeter, Enchantment, designed by Yeong-Hao Han first released in May, 2020 in the set Gatecrash.
This card, Crackling Perimeter, would benefit a deck that focuses on controlling the board and dealing incremental damage to opponents. Decks that utilize a lot of Gates in their mana base would find this card useful, as it provides a consistent source of damage. However, there are better options available, such as cards like Maze's End, which can win the game outright by assembling all the required Gates. While Crackling Perimeter can be a decent inclusion in a Gate-focused deck, it may not be a top-tier choice compared to other win conditions available.

You can’t tap an untapped Gate you control for mana and tap it to activate Crackling Perimeter’s ability at the same time. You must choose one or the other.
