Troll Negotiations fits best in green-based creature decks—especially Stompy, +1/+1 counters, fight/bite, or Commander decks built around creatures that benefit from counters or dealing damage, such as Kodama of the West Tree, Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, or creatures with trample, deathtouch, indestructible, or “whenever this deals damage” abilities. The card can act as both a permanent pump spell and creature removal, but at four mana and sorcery speed it is generally inefficient for competitive formats: **Ram Through** is usually better in trample decks because it costs only two mana and lets your creature deal damage without taking damage back; **Bushwhack** is cheaper and more flexible for fighting; **Tail Swipe** is extremely efficient at one mana in decks with large creatures; and **Prizefight** provides a Treasure token while fighting.
