About Scythe Leopard
Scythe Leopard, Creature — cat, designed by Winona Nelson first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.
This card, Scythe Leopard, would be a great addition to a landfall deck in Magic: the Gathering, where the strategy revolves around playing lands to trigger powerful abilities. While Scythe Leopard provides a nice boost with its landfall ability, there are stronger options like Steppe Lynx or Tarmogoyf that offer more consistent and impactful effects. However, for a budget or casual deck, Scythe Leopard could still see play as a solid inclusion for its synergy with landfall mechanics.

A landfall ability triggers whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control for any reason. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability puts a land onto the battlefield under your control.

If the ability has an additional or replacement effect that depends on the land having a certain basic land type, the ability will check that land’s type as the ability resolves. If, at that time, the land that entered the battlefield is no longer on the battlefield, use its types when it left the battlefield to determine what happens.
