Render Speechless fits best in Orzhov (white-black) midrange or control decks that want hand disruption plus incremental board advantage, especially in slower Standard or Pioneer-style formats where a two-for-one effect can swing tempo and resources; it’s particularly appealing in decks that care about +1/+1 counters (such as Abzan counters shells) or that use creatures with lifelink, evasion, or sacrifice value to maximize the counters.
