Protean Thaumaturge would be a great addition to a deck focused on enchantments and creatures with powerful abilities that you would want to copy. Decks that revolve around enchantment synergy or have key creatures with impactful abilities would benefit from its flexibility. While there may be other cards that offer similar effects, Protean Thaumaturge's ability to repeatedly copy creatures can provide versatility and surprise factor in gameplay, making it a strong contender for inclusion in the right deck.
