About Nef-Crop Entangler

Nef-Crop Entangler, Creature — human warrior, designed by Dan Murayama Scott first released in Apr, 2017 in the set Amonkhet and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.

Nef-Crop Entangler could be beneficial in an aggressive red deck looking to apply pressure early in the game with its low cost and trample ability, allowing it to push through damage efficiently. However, there are potentially better cards for this role, such as Earthshaker Khenra, which also has trample and a more impactful exert ability that grants haste to another creature. Whether Nef-Crop Entangler should see play depends on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck, but it may be outclassed by other options in certain scenarios.

Rules

04/18/17

If you gain control of another player’s creature until end of turn and exert it, it will untap during that player’s untap step.

04/18/17

You can’t exert a creature unless an effect allows you to do so. Similar effects that “tap and freeze” a creature (such as that of Decision Paralysis) don’t exert that creature.
