About Laccolith Warrior
Laccolith Warrior, Creature — beast warrior, designed by Mark Zug first released in Feb, 2000 in the set Nemesis.
Laccolith Warrior would fit well in an aggressive red deck looking to control the board by removing key blockers. While its ability to deal damage to a target creature when blocked is useful, there are potentially better options like Flametongue Kavu or Stormbreath Dragon that offer more immediate impact or versatility. However, in the right deck focused on creature removal and combat tricks, Laccolith Warrior could still see play as a situational card to disrupt opposing strategies.
Rules
10/04/04
The ability allows you to deal damage during the declare blockers step of combat, which is well before even first strike creatures deal damage.
10/04/04
The ability triggers even if a spell or ability makes it blocked, instead of being blocked by a creature.
