Honored Hierarch, Creature — human druid, designed by Magali Villeneuve first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.
This card would benefit a green-based aggressive deck looking to ramp up mana quickly and maintain board presence. While Honored Hierarch can be useful for mana fixing and early aggression, there are more efficient mana dorks like Llanowar Elves or Elvish Mystic that could be better options for faster mana acceleration. However, in a deck focused on combat damage triggers and mana fixing, Honored Hierarch could still see play as a versatile option.

If a renown ability triggers, but the creature leaves the battlefield before that ability resolves, the creature doesn’t become renowned. Any ability that triggers “whenever a creature becomes renowned” won’t trigger.

Renown won’t trigger when a creature deals combat damage to a planeswalker or another creature. It also won’t trigger when a creature deals noncombat damage to a player.
