About Forbidden Alchemy
Forbidden Alchemy, Instant, designed by Randy Gallegos first released in May, 2020 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 15 different ways.
Forbidden Alchemy would benefit control decks that rely on card advantage and graveyard synergies, as it allows for card selection and fills the graveyard for potential future plays. While it is a solid card, some may argue that similar cards like Strategic Planning or Chart a Course offer more immediate value or flexibility. However, Forbidden Alchemy could still see play in decks looking to maximize graveyard interactions or those in need of additional card selection options.
Rules
03/19/21
A spell cast using flashback will always be exiled afterward, whether it resolves, is countered, or leaves the stack in some other way.
03/19/21
If a card with flashback is put into your graveyard during your turn, you can cast it if it’s legal to do so before any other player can take any actions.
03/19/21
You must still follow any timing restrictions and permissions, including those based on the card’s type. For instance, you can cast a sorcery using flashback only when you could normally cast a sorcery.
09/22/11
If you have fewer than four cards in your library, you’ll look at all the cards there and put one into your hand and the rest into your graveyard.
