This card, Eviscerate, would be beneficial in a Black control deck that focuses on removal and disruption. While it is a straightforward removal spell, there are better options available such as Murder or Hero's Downfall that provide additional flexibility or utility. Eviscerate could see play in limited formats where removal is scarce, but in constructed formats, it may not be the most optimal choice compared to other removal spells available.
