However, for a more efficient and versatile option, Surgical Extraction might be a better choice as it only costs Phyrexian Black, can be cast for free under certain conditions, and doesn't require the opponent to have permanents in the graveyard. Bitter Ordeal could still see play in specific combo or control decks looking to disrupt opponents' strategies by removing key cards from their library.
