Retraced Image, Sorcery, designed by Greg Staples first released in May, 2020 in the set Torment.
This card could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on duplicating permanents or has a lot of redundancy in card names, such as a tribal deck or a deck with multiple copies of key permanents. However, there are better cards like Clone or Clever Impersonator that offer more flexibility and reliability in copying permanents without the need for a specific card in hand. Overall, Retraced Image may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to its situational nature and limited utility compared to other options available.
