Nicol Bolas would be a great fit for a control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's hand and maintaining board control. While Nicol Bolas's ability to make opponents discard their hand is powerful, the high mana cost and the upkeep cost make it a bit slow for competitive play. There are better options like Thoughtseize or Liliana of the Veil that offer more immediate and consistent hand disruption without the heavy mana investment, making them more viable choices in most scenarios.
