This Man-o'-War card would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on tempo and disrupting the opponent's board state. While it is a classic and effective card for bouncing creatures, there are more efficient options available in newer Magic: the Gathering sets, such as Brazen Borrower from Throne of Eldraine, which not only bounces a creature but also has a flying threat attached.
