This card, Languish, would be beneficial in a control deck that aims to control the board by weakening or eliminating opponent's creatures. However, there are better alternatives like Damnation or Toxic Deluge that offer more flexibility or efficiency in similar situations. Languish could still see play in certain metas or budget decks where those options are not available.
