About Kitesail Corsair

Kitesail Corsair, Creature — human pirate, designed by Greg Opalinski first released in Jan, 2018 in the set Rivals of Ixalan and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.

The Kitesail Corsair would be beneficial in an aggressive tempo deck that aims to apply pressure early in the game with evasive threats. While it can provide a flying attacker when attacking, there are potentially better options like Stormchaser Mage or Siren Stormtamer that offer more versatility or protection. However, Kitesail Corsair could still see play in decks looking for additional flying threats to close out games quickly.

Rules

11/10/20

Kitesail Corsair has flying immediately after it attacks. This means that combat restrictions on creatures with flying (such as that of Sandwurm Convergence) don’t apply, but abilities that trigger on creatures with flying attacking (such as that of Windreader Sphinx) do trigger.
